Steelfang is assumed to be in there, just like Flail is.

Both are case specific.
There are times when you face mobs that bunch up and die fast versus AoE damage.
There are times when you face mobs that spread out from AoE and have strong defences, they must be taken down fast one by one.
Best of both worlds is a Dragon Slash war with a Rit casting Splinter Weapon constantly upon him.

However vampiric comes into its own once you get into combat due to its life stealing abilities and is great with any skill hich increases attack speed.

Theres been countless "arguments" over weather Vamp or Sundering is better.
Vamp just eeks out over sundering in DPS in the long run, so its not "by a long way" The benefit is, it does heal you although not a whole lot, and it gets by prot spirit. Vamp isnt the thing that will kill you in a spike though, Sundering will, the boost of dmg can be devistating.
So if you really dont like the -1 health degen from vampiric then dont use it just cause some people say its "way" better (this is talking about axes now)
then just use sundering. But if you dont mind it then bring Vamp and Sundering and Elemental and Zealous for more shocking and frenzying for axe.
Zealous, elemental, vamp for sword furious works too.
Dont really know about hammers.

The slower the attack speed the less effective furious is, max is 10/10 regardless of the weapon so furious (or zealous) on a hammer is pretty lame imho.

Probably like most other people, I have:
Sword: Vampiric, Elemental, Furious, Zealous
Axe: Vampiric, Zealous, Elemental, Furious
Hammer: Vampiric, Zealous, Furious
I doubt there is a "best" weapon mod though...there is very seldom a "best" anything in this game.
<3 my Zealous Hammer...didn't think it would, but it proves quite useful.

lolol
Vamp for the most part for the increased pressure; Sundering on axes/hammers when going for a kill (yes, the damage isn't guarenteed; but sundercrits are painful and spikes get kills); Zealous to spam moar Frenzy; and then an elemental for Conjure/hitting Warriors.
I've got a few other random weapons too -a Vamp flatbow for pulling, a Furious spear just... because, and a Crippling sword if I ever decide to use "YAA!" (outdated, but fun).
Good warriors switch weapons, there is no 'best' mod.

If anyone could kill entire mobs "all at once" no one would run anything but triple chop warriors. Teams would be six Triple Chops, a bonder, and a WoH/HBoon. Unfortuanately, enemies don't always clump up just the way you'd like them to no matter how skilled you are. Also, couldn't you use DSlash and then replace something with Whirlwind attack to achieve the same effect without gimping yourself when the clumps aren't showing up?

Then just use whirlwind attack with splinter and have DS with you.
for great justice
flail
splinter weapon
whilrwind attack
brawling headbutt
steelfang slash
sun and moon slash
dragon slash
PvE of course :
11+4 sword
11 channeling
8+1 strength
Gonna try that at home just for fun.

FGJ and Sun & Moon don't do anything in that build.

Actually the build is quite sound. FGJ if for his Dslash/brawling headbutt/steelfang slash. Sun & Moon is paired with Whirlwind Attack and Splinter weapon.
This build should deal excelent damage vs a bunched up mob or single target.

If you actually played with Brawling/Steelfang/Dslash, you'd know that the chain recharges itself, making FGJ redundant. Sun & Moon also doesn't fit in that build because you already have BSD and Whirlwind; another attack skill is pointless.

the clumps always show up in PvE, your doing it wrong. anyways, teams shouldnt be 6 triple chop warriors, maybe one, a dervish and a few AoE damage casters, thats your rodgort spammers, SS and i suppose barragers.
AoE wins PvE. period.
